Migrate an Existing ViewCommander Install

Move without Configuration

This section will show you how to move your ViewCommander installation from one computer to another without copying the configuration files. This method is very similar to the fresh installation method.

  1. Move the USB Dongle from the Old System to the New System
  2. Install the same Version you are currently licensed for onto the New System
  3. Enter the permanent (non-expiring) license key using the licensing tab in the VCUtility (you should have this license key on file)
  4. Launch ViewCommander
  • After successfully launching ViewCommander for the first time, use the VCUtility to install the Service. Click Here to see a video on how to install ViewCommander as a Service
